These new paintings explore the interaction between humans and their environment. I'm intrigued by how different terrains affect people and how human presence impacts a place. This relationship inspires my imagination, with images of nature and human impact appearing and disappearing in my work.

I use intense, saturated colours to highlight nature's power to reclaim and decay human elements. The rhythmic interplay of bright colours and open space expresses both the vibrancy and silence of nature. Time is represented through the fluidity and layered forms of my painted subjects.

My process reconstructs images of a place within a single painting, drawing on influences from geography, history, anthropology, and archaeology. The abstract landscape reflects the ongoing interaction between humans and the environment over time.
